Celebrity Style: Lauren Conrad Maxi Dress

I loved the dress Lauren Conrad wore to The Hills season 4 Premier. The beautiful silk maxi dress is by Cavalli. I love the soft peach color. The bright hibiscus flower really makes this fun and unique. I think this would be a fabulous dress to wear to a beach wedding or party on an island (perhaps Maui)!

Hot Trend: Nude Color Tops

A hot color this fall is nude. Beautiful chiffon blouses are very in this season as well. They look fabulous with jeans or black pants.
Diane von Funstenberg's Philippine Blouse (pictured top) encompasses both trends but the $285 price tag is a bit steep. Check out Victoria's Secret's version (pictured bottom), the Silk Chiffon Pleated Blouse is only $68. Get the trend at:

Stella McCartney for LeSportsac

Check out Stella McCartney's line for LeSportsac. Stella McCartney's handbags normally cost between $500-$1500 but her line for LeSport is affordable and is now on sale online for 75% off! Specifically the Spring Line is 75%, but that is better than her Fall Line.
I picked up the Everyday Tote (pictured) for $87 (originally $350). It fits a laptop with plenty of extra room. Additionally it has lots of pockets and a snap out pouch for jewlery or cosmetics or whatever. So it works as a great carry-on! Go to http://www.lesportsac.com/store/stella/4604_5824.html
to check out all of the great deals.

What To Wear To Sporting Events

Take a cue from Cameron Diaz when selecting an outfit to wear to a sporting event. She was spotted at this year's US Open with her new boyfriend, who happens to be Jen Aniston's ex model bf. I love the effortless, casual, classic chic white dress shirt and jeans. Pick up a shirt from Old Navy (pictured above) for $20 it looks just like Cameron's. Pair it with a fabulous pair of designer jeans (not an Old Navy pair or the outfit will not look expensive). BTW- I tried the shirt on at Old Navy this week and it runs small so go up a size.

Hot Trend: Belted Purple Dress

One of the hottest trends of the moment right now is belted purple dresses. I think this is a chic look. Purple is one of the hottest colors this fall so to incorporate it into your wordrobe why not get a cute short dress in purple? Then put a wider black belt around the waist for a trendy, chic look. My fav is Blake Lively (middle) in the one shoulder dress!

Cabana Fall Picks: Old Navy Highlights

Stylish and Old Navy are three words I would never use in the same sentence...until recently! I have been pleasantly surprised with the soft jersey maxi dresses and flowy, off-shoulder tops this summer. Now I am once again surprised with a couple of pieces from this fall's collection. So check out my picks from Old Navy this fall. Beginning at the top with the Satin 3/4 Sleeve Dress for $34. Next is the Silk Ruffle Top ($26) which would be cute under a suit. Finally the Double Breasted Sweater Coat ($39) in either black or white. I think this coat in black is a great pick for transitioning into the chilly weather. Paired with jean and a great purse it would be a fab outfit to shop in or go to dinner. So check out Old Navy without reservations- there are actually a couple fab pieces to combine with the rest of your wardrobe!

Cabana Fall Picks: Old Navy Cardigans

Check out the Color Block Cardigan at Old Navy now for $25. It's very similar to Tory Burch's Jeanne Cardigan which is $225. I love the signature Tory buttons on the cardigan however for a fraction of the price you can get the same look at Old Navy!

Lauren Conrad NYC Fashion Week 9/08

Lauren Conrad debuted her Fall 2008 Collection last week at New York City's Fashion Week. Her collection will be sold this season at Bloomingdales as well as shopbop.com and local boutiques. I like the look she chose to wear for the launch. High boots over skinny jeans are still in this season- which is fabulous news because I love wearing it. I love the one sleeve tunic knit top that she wore. It is the Jaqueline Top from her collection. At $172 I think it is over priced a bit. I'm working on finding a less expensive alternative. In the meantime you can check this top as well as the rest of LC's collection out at:

US Open: The Good and The Bad

So in my final review of US Open fashion check out the good (top) and the bad (bottom). I love the style of Maria Kirilenko who has established herself as a tennis fashionista. In both Adidas dress and top/skirt combo. The ruffle details and colors on the tennis dress are great. The skirt has an awesome army style too it with the belt. Additionally Daniela Hantuchova always looks cute and sporty in seperates by Nike. Her tank with the black edging would be a fabulous piece to incorporate in your workout wordrobe.

Finally check out two major fashion misses. Poor Maria Sherapova- 1993 called and they want their dress from The Limited back! And I'm not sure what kind of a statement Bethanie Mattek was trying to make with her corset-esque tennis dress...but it's just a skanky look.

Maria Sherapova Fashion Hit

To continue our coverage of US Open tennis fashion, check out Maria Sherapova's super cute Nike tank and skirt from this summer. I love the ruffles as well as the colors. The DriFit top can be purchased at Nike.com for $35! Look stylish while working out.

Too bad we didn't get to see what fabulous outfit she would have worn at this year's US Open.

US Open Fashion Face Off

It was Serena vs. Jelena in the 2008 US Open Ladies Final. Serena may have won the tennis match but who won the fashion face off? A classic Nike vs. Reebok showdown. Nike has blown Reebok away since the early 90's in the fashion department. But as far as the '08 US Open finals is concerned that was not the case. Jelena's Reebok yellow tennis dress with a silver sash was very stylish for the court. While Serena's Nike red dress was a bore. Had Maria Sherapova (Nike's Fashion Darling) been able to play this could have been a very different outcome. But for this years US Open Reebok took the trophy!

Hottest Trend of The Moment

The hottest trend of the moment right now is Michael Phelps. He's everywhere- SNL, MTV, Oprah, Sports Illustrated, Visa, Frosted Flakes, etc.. He's been sporting a large, blinging whatch which I'm sure he's endorsing.

US Olympic gear is also still acceptable to rock this season. So any of you guys out there looking for new swim trunks pick up a pair of the US Flag Speedos like the one worn by Phelps! *Please note that in order to pull this trend off you must be of the same physical caliber of the Olympic Men's Swim Team and only wear for training. Otherwise do not attempt this look!

Back from Hiatus

Hi! Style Cabana is back. Sorry we were on break for The Olympics (loved mens swimming), The US Open, Democratic and Republican National Conventions. All of which have brought plenty of new fashion material. So be on the lookout we're back!
